This 18th century mahogany desk is believed to have come from the Mount Uniacke estate in Nova Scotia and was the desk of Robert Uniacke first prime minister of Nova Scotia. Probably taken with him from Ireland.
We have done some extensive research using the details found on the label on the reverse of the desk.
This mahogany desk is made from wonderful quality timber, with carved bracket feet, carrying handles and the original swan neck brasses, the drawers are pine lined.
